Atlanta Product

THE POSITION
Our roster has an opening with your name on it

FanDuel is seeking a Senior Product Owner to lead delivery execution for complex, high-impact initiatives within the New Ventures team, with a focus on FanDuel Predicts, our prediction markets product. This role combines hands-on product delivery leadership with people management and plays a critical role in scaling execution quality as Predicts grows.

The Senior Product Owner partners closely with Product Managers, who own product vision, strategy, and success metrics, while the Senior Product Owner owns the how — ensuring product priorities are translated into structured delivery plans, high-quality requirements, and reliable outcomes across engineering teams.

In this role, the Senior Product Owner owns delivery across multiple initiatives and product areas, driving execution from concept through release. They operate with a high degree of independence and accountability, managing delivery health, cross-team dependencies, and risk, while ensuring requirements are clear, actionable, and aligned with technical constraints.

The Senior Product Owner acts as both a people manager and individual contributor, remaining actively embedded within at least one engineering team while managing and mentoring multiple Product Owners. This dual role ensures delivery standards are consistently applied and scaled across teams.

In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined above, employees may be required to perform other such duties as assigned by the Company. This ensures operational flexibility and allows the Company to meet evolving business needs.

  • Technical Depth & Delivery Maturity: Brings strong technical depth within the domain, enabling effective collaboration with Engineering and confident decision-making around feasibility, sequencing, and scope. Ensures product requirements are well-defined and implementation-ready, and sets and upholds a high bar for user stories, acceptance criteria, and definition of done across teams.
  • Customer-Centered Execution: Ensures the customer perspective remains a driving force behind delivery decisions by grounding requirements in user needs, data, and feedback. Leads stakeholder interviews and facilitates workshops to validate problems, align on outcomes, and refine execution plans that balance customer value with technical and business considerations.
  • Agile Excellence & Ways of Working: Acts as a champion of Agile delivery, promoting a culture of inspect-and-adapt, continuous improvement, and execution discipline. Develops, implements, and continuously improves Product Owner practices, tools, and standards that enable consistent, high-quality delivery across teams.
  • People Leadership & Coaching: Serves as a people manager for at least three Product Owners, providing coaching, feedback, and development support to raise the overall maturity and effectiveness of the Product Owner function. Sets clear expectations, reinforces best practices, and supports Product Owners in growing delivery ownership, requirement quality, and stakeholder management, while remaining actively embedded with an engineering team and leading by example.
  • Stakeholder Communication & Accountability: Provides clear, effective updates to stakeholders and leadership, communicating progress, risks, and tradeoffs with confidence and transparency. Holds self and others to high standards of performance, consistently meeting or exceeding challenging goals.
