THE POSITION

FanDuel is looking for a Commercial Manager to help shape and deliver our commercial strategy. This role involves collaborating with a variety of cross-functional teams, with a particular focus on building strong partnerships with Product teams to evolve and communicate our Sportsbook offering. You'll bring insight to help identify trends, align stakeholders, and drive innovation to focus the business on high-impact priorities.

You'll be a key member of the Commercial team, contributing to sportsbook initiatives such as Live betting, promos, merchandizing and new betting opportunities. You’ll work closely with departments across FanDuel including Promotions, Brand, Commercial, Data Science, Product, and Customer Service. This is an exciting opportunity to help create a user-centric proposition that enhances the experience for our customers while driving business performance.

In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined above, employees may be required to perform other such duties as assigned by the Company. This ensures operational flexibility and allows the Company to meet evolving business needs.

THE GAME PLAN
Everyone on our team has a part to play

  • Serve as commercial liaison with various Product teams to help inform ideation & prioritization.
  • Be the commercial lead on components of the live betting project to support the delivery of our strategy.
  • Work collaboratively with Trading Product teams to optimize the betting experience for the customer and create new betting opportunities to drive revenue for the business.
  • Drive forward a promotions strategy that assesses opportunities within new promos, promo merchandizing and promo distributions.
  • Help evaluate new/emerging product opportunities and influence investment decisions.   
  • Collaborate on the evaluation of product/feature performance post-launch and assist in shaping commercial OKRs, offering well-reasoned recommendations for future investment and growth.
  • Analyze and recommend improvements to existing processes across various teams across the Product
    organization to reduce customer friction and/or drive business revenue.
  • Identify opportunities to improve our bet conversion funnel and work cross-functionally to get these implemented
  • Support multiple Product teams in setting an ambitious multi-year vision and strategy that is sufficiently compelling to grow our market share.
  • Participate in collaborative, cross-functional projects from strategy development through implementation with teams across Product, Product Marketing, Risk & Trading, UX Analytics, Research, and Design.

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required. Studies in a business, analytical, mathematical, tech or marketing or similar fields preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a strategic, commercial, product, analytical role is preferred
  • Proficiency with Excel is required. SQL and data visualization, a plus but not required
  • Effective at relationship building and sensitive to stakeholders' needs
  • Experience with problem solving and can outside the box
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time, and successfully follow through
  • Strategic mindset: takes a long-term view and anticipates future trends and implications
  • Commercial acumen: advanced understanding of P&L, business principles and understands the levers
  • Collaborates: is a team player - works with the team and stakeholders across the organization to get things done efficiently

The applicable salary range for this position is $103,000 - $129,000 USD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
