DevOps Engineering Manager

The Position

FanDuel is looking for a DevOps Engineering Manager to join our Sportsbook Channels domain and manage the DevOps Team which is building our future DevOps infrastructure and culture ensuring automated, fast and responsible code delivery. In this role, you will build relationships across engineering to enable the impact of your team’s work and streamline how your team handles incoming requests.

You will help and coach your team both from a technical and people perspective whilst championing operational excellence.

  • Manage a team of DevOps Engineers overseeing their work in Kanban agile methodology
  • Use tools such a Jira and Confluence for planning and processes
  • Take a leading role in planning the future road-map for the DevOps culture in Sportsbook channels
  • Work and collaborate with a range of technology stakeholders to promote ideas and implements new processes, tools or technologies

What We’re Looking For

You will be passionate about imparting knowledge and building, growing, and leading successful teams. Ideally, you will have a background in software engineering and code and repository delivery alongside proven people management and leadership skills in a technology environment.

  • Experience implementing a DevOps culture and tool set
  • Experience working with CI platforms and pipelines to create efficiencies
  • Ideally you will have worked with AWS cloud based infrastructure and Kubernetes
  • The ability to build relationships across a range of stakeholders whilst also being able to challenge

Location: Our Scottish tech hub is based in central Edinburgh and is fitted with fabulous amenities including a Gym, showers, bike parking, gaming pods, multiple breakout areas, meeting rooms, a roof terrace and much more. We operate a hybrid model for the majority of our roles, where we normally spend a day or two in the office per week.
