THE POSITION

FanDuel is looking for a Senior Manager to lead its Financial Crimes Compliance Strategy & Governance Team, focusing on anti-money laundering and sanctions. The Senior Manager will report to the Senior Director of Financial Crimes Compliance and will lead initiatives and manage the team responsible for supporting the development and implementation of financial crimes compliance strategic priorities, drafting and updating policies and procedures, providing training and team subject matter knowledge enhancement, overseeing audits, responding to due diligence requests and tracking and reporting key metrics within the AML/sanctions subject matter area, among other things. The Senior Manager will work closely with AML and Sanctions Operations Senior Managers and will engage with senior stakeholders to support key FanDuel initiatives from an AML and sanctions perspective.

The ideal candidate for this role has substantial experience in the strategy and governance function of a financial crimes compliance program within a regulated entity such as a bank or gaming company, has a track record of successful team management and a strong understanding of compliance fundamentals. Superior strategic, communication, and interpersonal skills are of paramount importance, as is a strong work ethic, attention to detail, a commitment to being a team player, and an aptitude to quickly learn the nuances of a fast growing company within an expanding industry.

THE GAME PLAN
Everyone on our team has a part to play

  • Work with the Senior Director of Financial Crimes Compliance to develop and execute annual plans and strategic initiatives
  • Independently identify opportunities for program enhancement
  • Manage the existing Financial Crimes Compliance Strategy & Governance Team
  • Develop policies, procedures, job guides and training materials in collaboration with the AML and Sanctions operational teams
  • Implement a program to uplift team member subject matter expertise at the associate and senior associate levels
  • Manage audits, exams, compliance tests and other programmatic inquiries
  • Oversee the development of a quality assurance function within the Financial Crimes Compliance team
  • Represent the Financial Crimes Compliance Team in meetings with internal and external partners and provide tactical and strategic input related to AML and sanctions risk
  • Participate in meetings with senior leadership
  • Work with the Financial Crimes Compliance operational teams to enhance existing metrics and reporting and identify opportunities for process enhancement
  • Work with the Risk function to provide metrics and participate in governance meetings
  • Identify and participate in opportunities to increase the visibility of FanDuel’s Financial Crimes Compliance Team and advancing its priorities within the gaming industry

THE STATS

  • Minimum of 7 years working in the financial crimes compliance function of a highly regulated financial institution or gaming company, including experience in a strategy and governance role
  • Previous design and stand-up of a team or program
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate and present key concepts in understandable and effective ways across the organization
  • Well organized and efficient self-starter who is able to work independently in a fast-paced environment

The applicable salary range for this position is $130,000 - $150,000 which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
