THE POSITION

The Learning and Development (L&D) Sr. Manager delivers business-focused, efficient, and innovative learning and development programs and experiences. As a subject matter expert, you will actively lead projects focused on aligning learning and development with the priorities of the business with the support of the Learning & Development Manager and Lead Associate. Reporting to the Director of Learning & Development, the Learning and Development Sr. Manager will also be responsible for the development of learning strategies and initiatives on a FanDuel enterprise level. Duties include but are not limited to, leading the development, delivery, and sustainment of company learning strategy and solutions designed to support professional development and job-specific employee skills.

Using independent judgment, analytical skills, and sound project management, this role works with educational leaders and stakeholders to develop the administrative infrastructure, system standards of use, and governance guidelines for all learning and development programs. The Learning and Development Sr. Manager advises and trains organizational educators and content developers on learning standards and helps execute the company's learning strategy and overall strategic priorities.

THE GAME PLAN

  • Take a strategic approach to the design, execution, and continuous improvement of company-wide learning initiatives that align with the overall People Team and the Talent, Learning & Development team learning curriculum, priorities, and organizational goals.
  • Act as a L&D partner and the main point of contact for the FanDuel Technology team, Operations team, and key business disciplines such as Product and Marketing. Take full ownership of leading the design, development, pilot, delivery, and evaluation of innovative learning and development solutions for both professional development and job-specific training.
  • Using an expert consultative approach design, build and oversee internal L&D programs including identifying performance, skills, and/or behavior gaps, make recommendations, and provide solutions to improve business performance and develop our leadership pool by partnering closely with HR Business and business leaders.
  • Collaborate closely with the L&D Manager and L&D Lead Associate to develop and ensure timely distribution of all internal training communications for designated departments.
  • In collaboration with department SMEs and business stakeholders, build and maintain multiple curricula portfolios of professional development experiences, including new solution development and ongoing maintenance of existing assets for each assigned department.
  • Partner with Leadership of designated departments to ensure employees are completing all necessary mandatory training requirements and be prepared to report status to leadership on a consistent basis.
  • Ability to effectively lead and facilitate training sessions for designated business departments and the broader FanDuel community as needed.
  • Monitor and measure learner satisfaction, engagement, and level of service provided through appropriate mechanisms to evaluate and implement training improvements as needed.
  • Provide reporting and have the ability to “Tell a story” with the collected data via dashboards and custom reports of all training deployed within assigned departments
  • Take a proactive approach to communicating the progress of projects, processes, and tools with the Director of L&D, the broader Talent & Development team, and stakeholders.
  • Take on a consultative approach when strategizing with Business Unit partners to educate, drive employee engagement to the LMS (Training Camp).
  • Consult and advise business partners utilizing detailed analysis to gather, identify, and recommend solution requirements.
  • Support the research, design, and execution of FanDuel's learning roadmap for the Product, Technology, and Operations teams.
  • Superior organizational and project management skills as demonstrated by an ability to manage multiple detailed projects and drive toward deadlines.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and agility in reacting to changing business needs.

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • Minimum of 6 years experience in Learning & Development and project management.
  • Requires excellent prioritization, responsiveness, and customer service, along with excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Requires excellent interpersonal skills with executive staff.
  • Previous experience exercising high levels of initiative, judgment, and diplomacy is required.
  • Proven ability to operate in extreme high-pressure situations, successfully handle multiple priorities, and possess a high level of discipline while remaining flexible.
  • Must possess superior people skills dealing with all levels of a team environment up to and including presentations and explanations of projects to upper-level management.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and skills in structured problem-solving.
  • Strong program and service delivery skills.
  • Deep sense of urgency and ability to identify and achieve quick wins.
  • Ability to quickly learn new subject matter areas, assess operational maturity.

The applicable salary range for this position is $124,000 - $170,500, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
