The Position

FanDuel is looking for a Software Engineering Senior Manager to join our Account vertical which oversees our most critical platform and services. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing the engineering organisation within a key pillar, in the Account vertical, which is delivering product features and technical initiatives.

As the Software Engineering Senior Manager, you will have a significant impact on our organisation, leading and growing teams of software engineers and people managers. You will provide guidance and mentorship to your team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence and ensuring an exceptional employee experience tailored to their individual needs.

  • Manage Senior Staff Engineers, Staff Engineers, Software Engineering Managers and multiple engineering teams across global locations
  • Drive responsibility for production and maintenance support of services
  • Enable the implementation of the technical vision and strategy for your vertical
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders across product and play an active role on the engineering leadership team within Account

What We’re Looking For

You will be passionate about imparting knowledge and building, growing, and leading successful teams. Ideally, you will have a background in engineering development and operational support alongside proven people management and leadership skills in a technology environment.

  • You’ll have a background in full stack or back end software development
  • People management experience and leadership skills in a technology delivery environment
  • Experience in defining and implementing software delivery best practices, agile delivery methodologies and continuous improvement
  • The ability to grow a team and lead it to success while demonstrating a pragmatic approach to problem-solving

Location: Our Scottish tech hub is based in central Edinburgh and is fitted with fabulous amenities including a Gym, showers, bike parking, gaming pods, multiple breakout areas, meeting rooms, a roof terrace and much more. We operate a hybrid model for the majority of our roles, where we normally spend a day or two in the office per week.
