Software Engineering Senior Manager - Web Platforms

The Position

FanDuel is looking for a Senior Software Engineering Manager to join our web platforms team which oversees web applications for FanDuel’s Account & Wallet user flows. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing a team which is delivering version upgrades, infrastructure, and large scale projects which enhance performance.

You will help and coach your team both from a technical and people perspective working on initiatives in front end web applications which will be used across other engineering teams. 

  • Manage a team of software engineers overseeing their work in agile scrum bi-weekly sprints
  • Help build an internal front end web resource for FanDuel’s Account and Wallet verticals and collaborate across the wider Engineering organisation at FanDuel
  • Enable the implementation of the technical vision and strategy for your vertical vertical
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders across FanDuel, helping them understand the delivery process
  • Develop and grow engineers within your team, providing an outstanding employee experience tailored to their individual needs

What We’re Looking For

You will be passionate about imparting knowledge and building, growing, and leading successful teams. Ideally, you will have a background in engineering development and operational support alongside proven people management and leadership skills in a technology environment.

  • You’ll have a background in front end software development and web application
  • People management experience and leadership skills in a technology delivery environment
  • Experience in defining and implementing software delivery best practices, agile delivery methodologies and continuous improvement
  • The ability to grow a team and lead it to success while demonstrating a pragmatic approach to problem-solving

Location: Our Scottish tech hub is based in central Edinburgh and is fitted with fabulous amenities including a Gym, showers, bike parking, gaming pods, multiple breakout areas, meeting rooms, a roof terrace and much more. We operate a hybrid model for the majority of our roles, where we normally spend a day or two in the office per week.
