Staff Software Engineer - React

The Position

FanDuel is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join our web platform team which oversees web applications for FanDuel’s Account & Wallet user flows. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in defining front end development in our Core Products & Experiences domain.

As a technical leader on your team, you work to deliver the right things with limited guidance and focus on complex, ambiguous problems. You will take the lead on large projects that require the work of your team and their successful launch.

  • Take a lead role in supporting a dynamic web application which is the main entry point for Account & Wallet user journeys in our products
  • Collaborate across the wider Engineering organisation at FanDuel
  • Coach and mentor team members, improving their technical knowledge and engineering practices
  • Identify areas for improvement, change and simplification around challenges such as scaling and refactoring

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for technical leaders who take ownership of the code base and team architecture while demonstrating experience of influencing the technical direction of a team.

  • You must have extensive experience in front end software development and React JS web applications
  • Familiarity working in an Agile environment and driving operational excellence or best practice
  • Experience of coaching and mentoring developers on your team
