THE POSITION

Our offices are a critical part of our business culture, as such, we want to ensure that our workspaces deliver everything our colleagues need to do their best work. The Workspace Manager is a key position in managing our working environment. We are looking for an outgoing, enthusiastic, driven, facilities management and workplace professional, to join our team. This person will lead a total service delivery model of all associated operations on site, for two Southern California facilities (Culver City and Beverly Hills). This is a varied role, but the main emphasis will be the efficient and effective running of our Los Angeles workspaces. We are looking for an experienced, well organized, and energetic individual with strong communication skills, the ability to work unsupervised and the ability and commitment needed to prosper in a fast-paced environment.

THE GAME PLAN

  • Lead the engagement with our staff and be committed to creating a great working environment.
  • Lead the operational delivery of the site team including reception & operations team.
  • Oversee reception, maintenance, post room, catering, committee support, stationary, cleaning, and general facilities.
  • Work with business managers to ensure service matches expectations.
  • Manage the sub-contractors on cleaning, security, waste, and other soft services.
  • Manage the engineering team and ensure all compliance can be demonstrated including full PPM completion.
  • Assist and coordinate corporate employee events with HR team.
  • First line responsibility for all FM matters at the business sites.
  • A thorough understanding of health and safety to always ensure compliance in line with business policy.
  • Support all business Internal and External Audits.
  • Complete all applicable risk assessments and deliver statutory compliance.
  • Review and interpret contracts to ensure services are delivered in line with the contract scope. Keycontracts: HVAC, Pest control, Cleaning, Catering.
  • Be responsive to issues/complaints and, as necessary, support managers in keeping the business updated of resolution and progress to effectively manage and maintain relationships.
  • Ensure that business complies and meets certification to all relevant standards.
  • Ensure effective mobilization of new contracts.
  • Provide business with cost effective solutions.
  • Take a pro-active approach with managing agents to ensure building issues are understood.
  • Support Sr. Workspace Manager in the preparation of budgets, including monthly analysis of all expenditures.
  • Improve cost control by monitoring and supporting improved efficiencies in the business.
  • Lead operational team to provide effective service delivery to employees through good working practices.
  • Ensure staff understand strategy and ownership of tasks as delegated through effective communication.
  • Understand business needs and priorities and identify potential opportunities for adding value to business corporate objectives.
  • Mentor and develop the team, including team develop and agreed career path and training schedule.
  • Ensure service efficiencies are realized across the portfolio by coordinating purchasing objectives.
  • Encourage the demonstration of the company core values.
  • To actively promote and communicate "work styles" to support better utilization of space.
  • Ensure employees are supported in their agile work demands and that shared spaces are used appropriately.
  • Support the active implementation of the 'Smart Working Protocols' such as clear desks
  • Support the effective use of meeting rooms and meeting room software.

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • 5+ years of experience in a Facilities Management and team management of an office of up to 400+ employees
  • Detailed knowledge of and experience in Facilities Management, building services and maintenance, and property management
  • Membership of the IFMA, or other facilities professional body
  • Flexible hours may be required.
  • Ability to travel between two Southern California facilities (Culver City and Beverly Hills).
  • Excellent people skills, including the ability to work effectively individually as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, meet deadlines, make decisions, and change course of action quickly.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and follow through skill.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and ethics.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Represents the Company in a way which ensures customer.
  • Proficient report writing skills.
  • Budget Management
  • Proven track record of high standards of service in real estate or corporate occupier role
  • Proven people management
  • Experience managing Agile workspaces desirable.

The applicable salary range for this position is $96,000 - $120,000, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
