Process
How We Hire
Our interview process is designed to really get to know you and your skills. It usually includes the steps below, tailored to each role and location.
Job Posting & Application: You can find all our job openings on fanduel.careers.com, LinkedIn, and Indeed. If a role feels like the right fit, apply ASAP—we move fast and start interviews quickly!
Resume/Application Review: After you apply, our Applicant Tracking System and recruiting team will review your experience and skills to see if you’re a good fit for the role.
Initial Screening: If our recruiters want to learn more about you, they’ll reach out to schedule a phone or virtual meeting. During this chat, they’ll cover the role, team, salary, and benefits while also learning about your experience and interest. If it’s a good fit, they’ll set up your first interview with the hiring team.
The Interview Process
First Interview (Virtual)
In your first interview, you’ll learn more about the role and meet key stakeholders on the team while they get to know more about you and your experience. Since multiple candidates may be in this round, next-steps feedback may take some time, but we’ll keep you updated along the way.
If you’re selected to move forward, your recruiter will share next steps. If not, you’ll receive an email notification (this will be consistent across each interview throughout the process). While we try to provide feedback where we can, detailed feedback may not be available for every disposition.
Second Interview
In your second-round interview, you’ll meet more team members and dive deeper into your skills and experience. This may include one-on-one or panel interviews covering:
- Behavioral (past experiences using the STAR method or similar construct)
- Technical/Case Study (real-world problems for tech, consulting, or finance roles)
Skills (written tests, technical challenges, or presentations) - Personality/Aptitude (work style, cognitive abilities, and cultural fit)
Since multiple candidates may be in this stage, the process can take up to five days (sometimes longer depending on the role), followed by a team debrief. Your recruiter will be in touch with any next steps.
Final Interview
In your final interview, you’ll meet with a senior leader who will assess your strategic thinking, leadership, and team fit. This is also your chance to discuss growth, development, and the team’s long-term vision. Be sure to ask any final questions about the role, culture, or benefits.
Last Steps
reference check
Once you have been selected to receive an offer, you may need to provide references to your recruiter before the official offer can be distributed. If references are required, your recruiter will let you know.
Job Offer
Once your offer is ready, you’ll receive it via DocuSign with all the details—job description, salary, benefits, and pre-onboarding info. Be sure to sign it by the deadline provided to you by your coordinator!
onboarding
After your offer is signed, we’ll get started on your pre-onboarding. Our team will send you pre-employment background check information, ensure your technology and system access is provisioned, and we’ll make sure you’ve got everything you need to be ready for Day 1 at FanDuel!
